I named her after one of my favourite wines from Springfield Wine Estate. Although it’s a white wine it was actually inspired by my feeling and not the colour. I painted her over two days which were boiling hot. Last night I got out our jacuzzi and went to paint. I listen to all kinds of music while I paint. Last night at around 11pm while listening to Bob Marley I thought to myself, “Gosh, I would love a glass of wine right now.” Hahaha I did not have one and continued to paint until 2:17am this morning. Today mid paint session I had that same feeling, and again the time was not appropriate. So I went down to our wine cellar, grabbed a bottle of Miss Lucy to put in the fridge to have with dinner tonight and as I looked at the bottle I just knew this painting had to be called “Miss Lucy.”
